Henkaa - Dresses Proudly Made in Canada

Henkaa is a Canadian brand and our convertible dresses made right in our hometown of Toronto.  Henkaa’s CEO Joanna is a Chinese refugee who fled war-torn Vietnam with her family. As the youngest of five, being resourceful, carving an identity, striving for growth and doing more with less are ingrained in her. Growing up in Canada, Jo experienced many opportunities and she wanted to build a brand that showed the possibilities — in the options we provide to customize a woman’s look for a special event, but also in the options she can create in life for herself. Her story of coming from nothing to becoming a successful businesswoman is the epitome of the Canadian dream - a testament to her resilience as well as Canada’s supportive and inclusive culture.

Henkaa manufacturing process is done by hand in Toronto Canada.

As a body positive brand, Henkaa allows women to use style as a means of uplifting each other and giving them courage to embrace all of the changes we go through in life. Our Henkaa work family is an extension of this - we're a business lead and run by an intimate group of talented women - a small but mighty team that supports and works collaboratively with each other.

We also make sure to support women in our community through our Giving Back program to women's shelters, group homes, and community centre's in the Greater Toronto Area.
