Two Colours You Need to Consider For Your Fall/Winter Wedding!
This blog post was originally written by Madeleine Villa.
With summer well on its way, we can expect fall/winter weddings right around the corner! While pastels have been a huge trend for spring/summer 2018 weddings, moody hues will be all the rage for the second half of the year.
2018 Fall/Winter Trends
What are moody hues you may ask? Well think of your dramatic jewel tones like hunter green or navy blue. Two you definitely need to know are eggplant purple and slate grey.
Eggplant Purple
There is no lie that purple has been a popular colour considering Ultra Violet was the Pantone colour of the year for 2018. However for spring we saw more lavender hues. For the upcoming months look forward to seeing deeper shades like eggplant purple, perfect for bridesmaid dresses.
This shade will be popular among brides looking for a dramatic wedding as the eggplant purple looks incredibly sultry beside a crisp white wedding dress.
Slate Grey
Neutral colours will continue for fall/winter 2018 wedding trends but you can expect much more drama as the leaves start to fall.
Slate grey bridesmaid dresses contrast well next to a white wedding dress. Using a neutral colour as one of your accent colours means you can incorporate some brighter colours into your decor and flowers like burnt orange or burgundy.
Mix & Match
Together, eggplant purple and slate grey look phenomenal together. If you are planning for your bridesmaids to rock the mix & match look, using these two colours together is the perfect way to look polished and trendy.
The colours are similar enough that they don’t look out of place. However, they compliment each other beautifully!
So which is your favourite: Eggplant Purple? Or Slate Grey?
