The Shoebox Project 2016 – #LoveWhatsInside
What first started as a relative’s gift-giving idea back in 2011 has now grown into The Shoebox Project we all know today, with proud sponsors such as CIBC, Joe Fresh, L’Oreal Paris, Le Chateau, Cineplex Media, Winners and now – Henkaa!
The holidays are among us and, as we all know, it’s the season of giving! How are you planning on giving back to your community this year? As a proud sponsor for the second year in a row, Henkaa teamed up with The Shoebox Project to provide donations to women in need this holiday season.
From The Shoebox Project:
The holidays are often one of the loneliest times of the year for women experiencing homelessness. A Shoebox is a powerful reminder that she is valuable and not alone; someone in her community is thinking of her. We can give her warmth, comfort, and confidence, by making a Shoebox gift just for her this year. Get involved in your community before it’s too late and make a Shoebox for a local woman in need of a little holiday cheer!
This year, each of our team members took the time to lovingly craft their own special Shoebox donation. We filled them with small gifts and luxuries that a woman would enjoy at this time of year such as nail polish, accessories, beauty products, and toiletries. Not only did we get to show off our creative side, but we also had the chance to give back to our community one box at a time!
How Will You Give Back?
Bring us your Shoeboxes! Henkaa has signed on as an official drop-off location for donations and will gladly accept Shoeboxes until Friday, December 9. For every Shoebox you bring, receive a $20 voucher for your next purchase! So hurry in before it’s too late.
