Halloween Costume - Hipster Little Mermaid

This makes Halloween an exciting time for all of us, as we all try to think of new ways to wear our Sakura Dresses to emulate our favourite fictional characters, pop culture icons and inanimate objects! While this dress is the perfect bridesmaids dress, travel companion and work to weekend wardrobe staple, we want to share just how FUN it really is. Join us as we transform our convertible dresses into the most unique outfits yet:

The Costume: Hipster Ariel
What you’ll need:
Sakura Hunter Green Maxi Convertible Dress
Dusty Purple Bandeau
Plum Purple Sash
Wayfarer Style Glasses
A Fork

While Ariel was best known for being the star of The Little Mermaid, she’s made a bit of an internet resurgence as Hipster Ariel or Hipster Mermaid. Get the look by putting on a Dusty Purple Bandeau and then grab a Plum Purple Sash. Position the centre of the sash to your centre back and wrap around your bust as if you were tying a dress in the Love Style and tie the ends in a double knot at your lower back. Then put on the Sakura Hunter Green Maxi Infinity Dress and wrap in a bandage style skirt. Note that the tighter you wrap it, the more restricted your knees will be… so you’ll truly feel like a mermaid on land! Don’t forget your dinglehopper (a fork!) and you’re ready to go!
